PRE-CARE & POST-CARE

Lash Extensions & Permanent Makeup .

Pre-care & Post-care routine are just as important as the service itself. The key to maintaining the quality of your service lies in a proper Care routine. Therefore Cosmè provide clients with effective Pre-care & Post-care routines to help maintain the desire results of your Lash Extension and Permanent Makeup. ( Please read this page prior to your appointment.)
BOOKING GUIDELINES APPLIES TO ALL APPOINTMENTS. PLEASE READ BOOKING POLICIES CAREFULLY PRIOR TO BOOKING YOUR APPOINTMENTS!

Lash Extensions Pre-Care .

  • PLEASE BE SURE YOU DO NOT HAVE allergies/ sensitivities to acrylates, cyanoacrylate. ( inform us if you do )

  • COME IN MAKEUP FREE no mascara, no foundation, or oil-base facial products.

  • REMOVE YOUR CONTACTS prior to your lash appointment.

  • PLEASE INFORM COSMÈ PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT if you have any active skin irritation around your eyes/ lids area.

  • PLEASE AVOID all caffeine (coffee, tea, energy drinks, pre-workout) intake the day of your appointment to avoid eyes twitching 

  • BRING PHOTOS of you in your signature look with your desired strip lash look along with inspo pictures.​​​​​​​​

Lash Extensions Post-Care .

  • AVOID GETTING YOUR LASHES WET for at least 2 hours.

  • AVOID WEARING  mascara, eye makeup, eye liner, strip lash glues, oil-base cleanser, oil-case skin products, and lash growth serums after getting your lashes done.

  • PLEASE DO NOT : sleep on your stomach or sides, use lash curl, nor pull/ cut your extensions.

  • KEEP AWAY FROM extreme heat (oven, hair dryer, cigarettes, etc.) 

  • CLEAN YOUR EXTENSIONS ONLY WITH PRODUCT PROVIDED FROM COSMÈ (Classic - Clean every other 2 days), (Hybrid - Clean every other day) , (Mega Volume - Must clean daily)

  • PLEASE NOTE : TEARS, POOL WATER, OCEAN WATER, AND SWEATS will risk weaken the glue bond (therefore if any of these situations occur, it is recommended to rinse lashes with water right after.)

Permanent Makeup Pre-Care .

  • BROWS , LIPS , EYELINER , SCALP : Please be sure to avoid caffeine, alcohol, any type of blood thinning medication 48 hours ahead of time.

  • BROWS , LIPS , EYELINER , SCALP : Prior to your appointment, it is important to reduce the amount of sun exposure on the area where you will be receiving service..

  • BROWS , LIPS , EYELINER : It is recommended that you come in with your everyday makeup look to help your artist understand your preferences.

  • BROWS , LIPS , EYELINER : Be sure to avoid any type of aggressive facial/ peels service prior to your appointment.

  • BROWS , LIPS , EYELINER : Avoid using retinol at least 10 days prior to your appointment

  • BROWS , LIPS : Botox  and fillers should be done 2 weeks prior to getting your PMU done. 

  • BROWS : Avoid waxing or brows lift service if you're getting your brows done.

  • LIPS : If you prone to cold sores, it is advised to consult your doctor for medication that can assist in preventing cold sores.

Permanent Makeup Post-Care .

  • NOTED : This page provides general advice on caring for your PMU immediately following each procedure, as well as long-term guidance for maintaining optimal results. Specific post-care instructions for each service are all different and will be provided directly to you based on the service you receive.

  • BROWS , LIPS , EYELINER , SCALP : Keep your PMU area clean from bacteria by avoid touching it.

  • BROWS , LIPS , EYELINER , SCALP : After your appointment, it is important to avoid sun exposure on the area where you received service..

  • BROWS , LIPS , EYELINER , SCALP : It is important to reduce sun exposure and apply SPF to your PMU area in order to maintain the vibrancy and longevity of the color.

  • BROWS , LIPS , EYELINER , SCALP : Please make sure to book your touch up appointment once you have completed your initial service.

  • BROWS , LIPS , EYELINER : It is recommended that you avoid using any type of skincare that has exfoliation properties to avoid premature fading. ( Retinol, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, AHAs, BHA, etc )

  • BROWS , LIPS , EYELINER : Refrain from picking at the scab while it is healing. 

  • BROWS , LIPS : The tattoo will go through dark and light phases. Initially, the pigment will appear dark until the scab fully falls off. After that, it will appear noticeably lighter (ghosting stage). By the 3-4th week, the color will be true to its intended shade.

  • BROWS , LIPS : Botox  and fillers can be done after your PMU service.

  • LIPS : If you prone to cold sores, it is advised to consult your doctor for medication that can assist in preventing cold sores.
