Nano Combo Brows / Powder Brows

POST-CARE : Proper aftercare is essential for a smooth healing process and to ensure the longevity of the procedure.
  1. Immediate Aftercare. ( These steps are crucial! )

       - Keep your brows dry and avoid getting them wet on the first 3-4 days. (Use sterile cotton provided by your artist or wipes to blot brows ONLY IF  you feel like you're getting sweaty or that area is dirty,  then pat them dry immediately after. & Please store this bag in your fridge and dispose of it after two days.) ( If you weren't given this your case does not apply)

       - On Day 1-3: Blot your eyebrows with clean dry tissue paper. Blot every 5 minutes for the first hour. Then every 15 minutes for 6 hours. Total of 7 hours on the first day, then 1-2 hours on the second and third day. (Your goal is to remove as much lymphatic fluid as possible. The more lymphatic fluid you remove the less scabbing you’ll see on day 4. To prevent the most common error, make sure to keep blotting even if your tissue appears clean. Skipping this step could disrupt the healing process.)

       - Do not wet the brows for the first 7-10 days: Apply a very thin layer of ointment provided by your artist as needed to prevent brows from drying out. ( however it's important to prevent it from getting soggy) (utilize a single-use cotton swab, ensuring not to dip it more than once to prevent cross-contamination. Apply in a single, unidirectional motion.)

       - Avoid touching your eyebrows with unclean hands to prevent any contamination of open wound.

  2. Keep Brows Moisturized but not soggy: Use a thin layer of aftercare ointment to prevent extreme dryness. Avoid over-application; just enough to keep the brows hydrated and not soggy.

  3. Avoid Sweating: Refrain from any excessive activities for at least 10 days post-procedure to ensure the color retention.

  4. Avoid Sun and UV Exposure : Direct sunlight can cause the pigments to fade unevenly, so use SPF or avoid sun exposure for at least 4 weeks after the procedure.

  5. No Makeup: Avoid applying brows makeup for at least 2 weeks. (other than ointment and spf )

  6. Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water.

  7. No Peeling or Picking : Your brows will scab/ flake as they heal. Do not pick at or peel, or itch the scabs off, as this can lead to uneven healing, pigment loss, and even scarring.

  8. Avoid Saunas, Steam Rooms: For at least 2 weeks, avoid activities that cause sweating or expose your brows to excessive moisture, such as swimming, saunas, or hot yoga.

  9. Schedule a Touch-Ups : A touch-up session is usually required 6 weeks after the initial brows procedure to ensure the color is even and correct. This session is crucial for final results.

  10. Long-Term Care

        - Avoid exfoliants, harsh scrubs, or retinol-based products around the brows area.

        - Use SPF daily to protect your brows and prevent premature fading.

THINGS TO EXPECT DURING BROWS HEALING PROCESS

When it comes to any procedure, whether large or small, it is essential to treat the area as an open wound. Your goal  is to ensure effective healing while allowing the pigment to remain embedded in the skin. Open wounds require an adequate supply of oxygen for proper healing and must be kept clean. While it is not necessary to completely avoid water, it is important to limit its contact with the wound to prevent excessive moisture, which can lead to a soggy condition.

Here are a few key points to help you understand the healing process:

- Lymph fluid =  thick scab.

- A thick scab =  poor pigment retention.

- Excessive water exposure or a heavy application of ointment = Soggy Scab.

- A soggy = lack of  oxygen flow, hindering the scab's ability to detach properly.

- If the scab does not fall off adequately = compromise color retention.

1. Days 1-3: Brows may be tender, and the color will appear darker than the final result.  (The area that was treated might be swollen , and you could feel some soreness once the numbing cream wears off.)

2. Days 3-5: Brows will begin to flake and peel. This is normal as the top layer sheds.

3. Days 5-10: The color may appear lighter after peeling (please do not pick, let them fall off naturally.) This is because the new skin is forming over the pigment ( ghosting stage ). Color will gradually resurface.

4. Weeks 4-6:  Full healing and true color will develop.  A touch-up session is usually required 6-8 weeks after the initial procedure to ensure the color is even and correct. This session is crucial for final results.

Lip Blush Aftercare

POST-CARE : Proper aftercare is essential for a smooth healing process and to ensure the longevity of the procedure.

  1. Immediate Aftercare (First 24-48 hours)

      - Keep lips dry and avoid getting them wet.

      - This is when your skin slowly releases lymph fluid right after, use clean soft tissue to blot. Blot every 5 minutes for the first hour. Then every 15 minutes for 6 hours. Total of 7 hours on the first day  (Your goal is to remove as much lymphatic fluid as possible. The more lymphatic fluid you remove off your wounded surface the less scabbing you’ll see on day two. (To prevent the most common error, make sure to keep blotting even if your tissue appears clean. Skipping this step could disrupt the healing process.)

        - Use sterile cold compress lightly to help with swollen tissue.

       - Apply the ointment provided by your artist on the second day on  ( a thin layer of  one direction swipe with clean q tips provided everyday if it feels dry ), to prevent lips from drying out.

       - Do not touch, lick, or rub the lips.

      - You will receive a bag of antiseptic wet wipes. Use these to gently dab your lips whenever you feel they might be dirty, or after each meal. Just remember to blot them dry afterward!  (Please store this bag in your fridge and dispose of it after two days.) ( ( If you weren't given this your case does not apply)

  2. Keep Lips Moisturized : Use a recommended aftercare balm or ointment (such as Aquaphor or A n D ointment) to keep the lips moisturized. Avoid over-application; just enough to keep the lips hydrated and not soggy.

  3. Avoid Smoking, Kissing, and Aggressive Activities: Refrain from these activities for at least 10 days post-procedure to avoid irritation or infection.

  4. Avoid Sun and UV Exposure : Direct sunlight can cause the pigments to fade unevenly, so use SPF or avoid sun exposure for at least 4 weeks after the procedure.

  5. No Makeup or Skincare on Lips :Avoid applying any lipstick, or lip balms (other than the aftercare ointment) on your lips for at least 2 weeks.

  6. Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water, but use a straw to avoid wetting the lips directly.

  7. No Peeling or Picking : Your lips will scab and flake as they heal. Do not pick at or peel the scabs, as this can lead to uneven healing, pigment loss, and even scarring.

  8. Avoid Saunas, Steam Rooms, and Sweating: For at least 2 weeks, avoid activities that cause sweating or expose your lips to excessive moisture, such as swimming, saunas, or hot yoga.

  9. Schedule a Touch-Ups : A touch-up session is usually required 6 weeks after the initial lip blush procedure to ensure the color is even and correct. This session is crucial for final results.

  10. Long-Term Care & Color Maintenance - While initial healing is crucial, long-term care is the key to keep your lips looking fresh, defined, and flattering.

    • Why Does Lip Color Fade? Sun exposure, skin cell turnover, lifestyle factors, skin care with actives, and  skin type all contribute to pigment fading over time.

      • Avoid exfoliants, harsh scrubs, or retinol-based , &  products with actives around the lip area.

      • Use SPF daily to protect your brows and prevent premature fading & pigment damage.

    • Schedule a Touch-Up aka Perfection Session: Must be done 6 - 12 weeks after your initial session to perfect color and shape. ( When your touch up is not completed within 12 weeks from the initial session, it will no longer be considered a “Touch-Up” session. It will be considered a “Color Boost” session .

    • Schedule a Color Boost: Every 2-3 years to refresh pigment, adjust shape, and maintain vibrancy. ( When your Color Boost  is not completed within 2-3 years from the initial session, it will no longer be considered a “Color Boost” session. It will be considered a “New Set” session .

    • Why It Matters: Color boosts keep lips vibrant, protect your investment, and prevent the need for a full redo. Think of it as a refresh button for your brows.

  11. Cold Sores/Herpes Simplex: This step is very important for successful healing results! If you're prone to cold sores, it is highly recommended for you to take antiviral medication (such as Zovirax or Valtrex) at least 2 days before and continue the regimen post-procedure. This isn’t a medical consultation, Please consult your doctor for the correct prescription.

THINGS TO EXPECT DURING LIP BLUSH HEALING PROCESS

- NOTE: While dietary restrictions aren't essential, it's beneficial to be aware that some foods, like beef and seafood, may lead to increased inflammation and itchiness. Additionally, certain beverages and fruits can enhance the vibrancy of your blush colors; for instance, drinking orange juice and consuming plenty of vegetables and fruits can enhance your lip pigment. Lastly, staying hydrated with water is crucial for maintaining moisture in your skin and lips, resulting in a plumper appearance and long-lasting vibrancy.

  1. Days 1-3: Lips might be swollen and bruised, and you could feel some soreness once the numbing cream wears off. the color will appear darker and more vibrant than the final result.

  2. Days 3-5: Lips will begin to flake and peel.

A touch-up session is usually required 6-8 weeks after the initial lip neutralization procedure to ensure the color is even and correct. This session is crucial for final results.

  5. Only apply to Lip Neutralization Case : Weeks 3-18: Unlike lip blush, it is important to note during this healing stage lips colors could get significantly darker before it gets lighter. Lips will show the true healed result, and the color will become more stable (healing process takes up to 16-18 weeks).  It is very important to wear SPF consistently ( reapply throughout the day as needed. ) This stage will help with having a successful healing process. A touch-up session is usually required 16-18 weeks after the initial lip neutralization procedure to ensure the color is even and correct. This session is crucial for final results.

While it is not necessary to completely avoid water, it is important to limit its contact with the wound to prevent excessive moisture, which can lead to a soggy condition.

Here are a few key points to help you understand the healing process:

- Eyeliner tattoos are particularly prone to pigment migration, making it essential to follow proper aftercare and long-term maintenance to minimize this risk.

- It is important to be aware that your eyes are highly susceptible to germs, which can easily lead to an eye infection if they become contaminated.

- Lymph fluid =  Unable to open your eyes.
